Revenue reporting now applies to Apple&#8217;s country-specific commission rates.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apple&#8217;s global commission rates have changed for the EU, China, Japan, and Brazil, with new terms starting October 1, 2026 for the EU. This is important for apps with a global user base or from many countries, since a single flat deduction misstates net revenue, along with the ROAS and LTV figures built on top of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How Dynamic Store Cut Works<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dynamic Store Cut checks the storefront country of each iOS IAP and subscription event. It then applies Apple&#8217;s published rate for that country on that transaction date. Each transaction gets exactly one rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apps can now choose between two store cut modes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Manual:<\/strong> Tenjin applies the single rate you set for the app. If you haven&#8217;t set one, the default is 30%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dynamic:<\/strong> Tenjin applies the published Apple rate for each event&#8217;s storefront country and transaction date. This rate replaces the manual rate. It is not added on top.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your app is in Apple&#8217;s Small Business Program, you have the option to turn on the reduced-fee setting and Dynamic mode that applies the reduced tier. The reduced rate is 15% in most markets and 12% in China. When the app store cuts are inaccurate, then all the metrics and measurements built on top are too.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Global Apps Earn Across Many Rate Zones<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In one day, one app can earn revenue in the EU, US, Japan, and China. Each one of those markets has a distinct commission rate and one blanket rate won\u2019t be able to reflect those differences. For example, if you take $100 of EU purchases, a flat 30% deduction reports $70<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">in net revenue, while the actual figure under the 26% rate is $74. The gap grows with every active market your app operates in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Make Better Decisions About Where to Scale<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Likewise, when net revenue is accurate by country, campaign and country comparisons are accurate too. UA teams are able to see the return from each market, instead of a figure skewed by one rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Dynamic Store Cut update helps teams:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Report net revenue that matches what Apple actually pays out per market<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Compare ROAS across countries without a built-in rate distortion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Feed more accurate revenue into LTV and pLTV analysis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Skip tracking each Apple rate change and recalculating it by hand<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Complimentary to Subscription Revenue Reporting<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dynamic Store Cut applies to subscription events as well as one-time IAP. Subscriptions get the same country rate as IAP, so revenue in Tenjin&#8217;s Subscription Revenue Reporting reflects the correct Apple commission by market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What&#8217;s Included in This Release<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This first release covers the revenue Tenjin can measure precisely today:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>iOS apps<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>First-party Apple in-app purchases and subscriptions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Country-level rates for the EU, China, Japan, Brazil, and the US\/default<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The reduced tier for apps in Apple&#8217;s Small Business Program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rates apply from the date you switch to Dynamic mode onward. Historical revenue is not recalculated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some Apple Store fee structures aren&#8217;t covered yet, because Tenjin can&#8217;t separate those transactions from standard App Store purchases. All purchase and subscription events are treated as first-party App Store transactions. Here\u2019s what\u2019s not yet included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Alternative payment processing and link-out purchases in the EU, Japan, and Brazil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alternative app marketplaces<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alternative payment providers in South Korea<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduced rates for subscriptions after one year of paid service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apple&#8217;s Video Partner and Mini Apps Partner programs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Android apps<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to Turn On Dynamic Store Cut in Tenjin<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Dynamic Store Cut is available now for all iOS apps.
