Sin embargo, estas m\u00e9tricas no son totalmente intercambiables: cada una tiene sus propios usos estrat\u00e9gicos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hace unos a\u00f1os, la mayor\u00eda de las empresas ni siquiera se habr\u00edan parado a pensar si merec\u00eda la pena cambiar a un indicador ligeramente diferente. Pero hoy en d\u00eda, las campa\u00f1as publicitarias suelen moverse en el filo de la navaja en lo que a rentabilidad se refiere. Cambiar el ROI por el ROAS, o viceversa, puede ahorrarte trabajo manual y ayudarte a tomar las decisiones correctas m\u00e1s r\u00e1pidamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Rentabilidad de la inversi\u00f3n<\/strong><br>El ROI se expresa en forma de porcentaje. Puede ser inferior a $1 (lo que significa que has perdido dinero, si solo tienes en cuenta el valor del usuario captado), pero nunca es un n\u00famero negativo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Cu\u00e1ndo utilizar el ROAS o el ROI<\/strong><br>Las prioridades empresariales determinan cu\u00e1l de las dos m\u00e9tricas es la m\u00e1s adecuada. En pocas palabras, el ROAS se suele utilizar m\u00e1s a la hora de optimizar el crecimiento, mientras que el ROI se emplea cuando se busca optimizar los beneficios. Consideremos el siguiente problema:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ingresos procedentes de usuarios captados: $9<br>Gastos publicitarios: $10<br>ROI = (9 \u2013 10) \/ 10 = -10%<br>ROAS = 9 \/ 10 = 90%<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En el caso de un juego reci\u00e9n lanzado que busca optimizar el crecimiento de su base de usuarios, una campa\u00f1a publicitaria como esta podr\u00eda estar logrando su objetivo de ampliar dicha base. Por lo tanto, la cifra de $0,90 que se recupera por cada $1 que la empresa gasta en publicidad parece merecer la pena: es evidente que la campa\u00f1a est\u00e1 generando una p\u00e9rdida de $0,10 en su intento por hacer crecer la aplicaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un ROI negativo puede parecer un problema si est\u00e1s optimizando para el crecimiento; en realidad no lo es, pero las cifras negativas no suelen sentar bien en las reuniones de la junta directiva. Y lo que es m\u00e1s importante, el ROI indica que (todav\u00eda) no est\u00e1s obteniendo beneficios, aunque a\u00fan no se conoce el panorama completo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Por otro lado, el ROI ha resistido la prueba del tiempo en las empresas consolidadas, ya que son aquellas que, con el tiempo, pueden centrar su atenci\u00f3n en los beneficios.
