Once again we have created a report to help hyper-casual publishers navigate the challenges of the ever-changing mobile industry. This year, we focus on the most interesting quarter: the third quarter, when the industry felt the full effect of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.tenjin.com\/ios-15-new-challenges\/\">Apple\u2019s privacy changes<\/a>. We have presented all of the insight in one hand infographic, available to everyone.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hyper-casual ad spend by platform<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The distribution of advertising spend between the two main mobile ecosystems shows hyper-casual spend is a shade higher on Android than iOS (55% vs 45%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the history of our benchmark reports, this is<strong>&nbsp;the first time that iOS has not outperformed Android in hyper-casual ad spend<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hyper-casual ad spend by ad network<\/strong>In terms of the top ad networks by hyper-casual ad spend, 8 ad networks (AppLovin, Mintegral, Google Ads, Facebook, Unity Ads, ironSource, Vungle, TikTok) feature in the top 10 on both iOS and Android. Nevertheless, some interesting trends do emerge:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Firstly, while many ad networks have different levels of spend in each ecosystem,&nbsp;<strong>AppLovin MAX&nbsp;<\/strong>is dominant on both iOS and Android.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understandably, with Google Play unavailable in China,&nbsp;<strong>Google Ads<\/strong>&nbsp;receives far more ad spend on Android than iOS. This is mirrored by hyper-casual ad spend with&nbsp;<strong>Facebook<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This has a knock-on effect for spend on ad networks on iOS, where&nbsp;<strong>Mintegral&nbsp;<\/strong>is 2nd for hyper-casual ad spend (5th on Android). Likewise,&nbsp;<strong>Ocean Engine<\/strong>&nbsp;sneaks into the top 10 on iOS but doesn\u2019t feature on Android.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The increasing although sometimes overstated importance of&nbsp;<strong>\u30a2\u30c3\u30d7\u30eb\u691c\u7d22\u5e83\u544a<\/strong>&nbsp;is shown by its position in 6th place on iOS.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And, with more hyper-casual developers and publishers exploring campaigns on&nbsp;<strong>TikTok<\/strong>, its network features at 8th on Android and 9th on iOS.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On Android,&nbsp;<strong>MolocoAds&nbsp;<\/strong>\u3068&nbsp;<strong>AdColony&nbsp;<\/strong>make the grade in 9th and 10th place respectively, but don\u2019t feature on iOS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hyper-casual ad spend by country<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The key difference in hyper-casual ad spend when segmented by market is, again, impacted by&nbsp;<strong>\u4e2d\u56fd<\/strong>. The country features in 3rd for iOS ad spend but doesn\u2019t yet feature in the Android list despite the growing importance of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.tenjin.com\/ios-14-driving-the-rise-of-alternative-android-app-stores\/\">alternative Android stores<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>N-Day All pLTV&nbsp;<strong>US&nbsp;<\/strong>\u3068&nbsp;<strong>\u65e5\u672c&nbsp;<\/strong>feature at 1 and 2 in both lists, but there are some other big movers.&nbsp;<strong>South Korea<\/strong>&nbsp;is 5th for hyper-casual ad spend on Android, falling to 10th on iOS.&nbsp;<strong>\u30aa\u30fc\u30b9\u30c8\u30e9\u30ea\u30a2&nbsp;<\/strong>is the direct opposite (5th on iOS, 10th on Android)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other than China, the only market that doesn\u2019t feature across both lists is the big LATAM market of&nbsp;<strong>\u30d6\u30e9\u30b8\u30eb<\/strong>, which comes in 7th on Android.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Maximize the performance of key ad networks<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you want to maximize the performance of Applovin, Mintegral, ironSource and other players from this report for your hyper-casual games?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Silly question, right?
