Advertisers using Tenjin can tap into TikTok’s most advanced measurement features, thanks to our official partner status. In the latest update, TikTok has rolled out iOS real-time conversion reporting for iOS 14.5+ campaigns.
What it is and why it matters
iOS real-time conversion reporting brings detailed, near real-time conversion data into TikTok Ads Manager with minimal delay. This helps you make quicker budget and creative decisions and supports goal-based bidding strategies, so you can better control CPA and align spend to outcomes.
Availability with Tenjin
As an official TikTok Mobile Measurement Partner (MMP), Tenjin gives advertisers access to TikTok’s advanced measurement capabilities and a streamlined path to implement real-time conversion reporting on iOS.
In order to enable real-time conversion reporting, make sure that callbacks and probabilistic matching is on for TikTok.
What you’ll see in TikTok Ads Manager
You’ll see familiar performance metrics delivered in near real time at the campaign, ad group, and ad level. This includes conversions, cost per conversion, and conversion rate. You’ll also find Results, cost per result, and result rate. In Custom Columns, you can reference the Conversions, App section for app-attributed events and the Conversions, Attributions section for attribution-type breakdowns. These views make it easier to spot winners quickly and adjust bids, budgets, and creatives without waiting on delayed aggregates.
Measurement notes and best practices
Real-time reporting on TikTok and SKAN reporting serve different purposes and may not match one-to-one. Differences typically come from attribution methodologies and attribution windows. When you first enable iOS real-time reporting, monitor both paths side by side before deciding on any SKAN changes.
FAQs
– Does this replace SKAN?
No. iOS real-time conversion reporting is an additional measurement workflow. If you turn off SKAN to unlock more campaigns, you will lose SKAN reporting in both TikTok Ads Manager and your MMP.
– Is it available without an MMP?
Not yet. TikTok notes that its App Events SDK and App Events API do not currently support iOS real-time conversion reporting.
– Which iOS versions are supported?
iOS 14.5 and above.
– Are all of the apps available?
To participate, your app needs to qualify. When you create an iOS 14 dedicated campaign in TikTok Ads Manager, look for the message “Your app is eligible for iOS real-time reporting.” This banner appears if your app has sufficient data signals to show real-time conversions in iOS campaigns.
