Setting up channels lets you track both ad spend (user acquisition) and ad revenue (monetization) in one place. Tenjin automatically pulls cost data from your advertising networks and ad revenue from your monetization partners, normalizing metrics across networks like Meta, Google, and others so performance is easy to compare. This gives you a clear view of how much you spend, how much you earn, and the true ROI of your campaigns–without juggling multiple dashboards.
Self-Attributing Network Channel Setup
Meta, Google, Apple Ads, Yahoo, TikTok, and Snapchat are self-attributing networks, and they require OAuth credentials to authorize access to ad spend data for campaigns.
- Go to the CONFIGURE >> Channels tab and click Add a Channel.

- When you select a network that requires OAuth authentication Tenjin will automatically ask you to authenticate with the platform directly. The below example shows the process for Meta.

Enter your login credentials to authenticate.
- Once you enter your user credentials, click Add Ad Account.

- You should be able to see a list of the ad account IDs tied to your Meta Business Manager account. You can add as many ad accounts as you want. You will see a notification in the same screen if the connection was successful. Please allow a few hours before you can see data on the Tenjin dashboard.

Non-Self Attributing Networks
- To pull spend data from Non-Self Attributing Networks, go to the CONFIGURE -> Channels tab and click Add a Channel.

- Select the ad network that you want to add. You will need to add the credentials for the network (usually available in your ad network dashboard) as shown in the Tapjoy example below. You will see a notification in the same screen if the connection was successful. Please allow a few hours before you can see data on the Tenjin dashboard.

Custom Channels
If there is an ad network or partner that Tenjin hasn’t pre-approved or integrated with yet, you can set up a custom channel to track all your campaigns for this partner. Custom channel supports both ad spend and ad revenue. To setup a custom channel:
- Go to the CONFIGURE -> Channels page and Add a Channel.

- Click Integrate a Custom Channel.

- Enter a name for the custom channel.

- You can email or upload manual CSVs with your reporting data from the specific partner to the custom channel in Tenjin. Please share the downloaded sample CSV file, or send the CSV file data format to your ad network account manager.
